Considering it was a my so-called partner who betrayed me and sentenced me to death, I'd say I have a pretty good reason to be mistrustful of those who come to you under the disguise of supposed friendship.
At the risk of sounding melodramatic, there isn't one anymore. Mainly because after years in this cesspool, I wouldn't call anyone a friend. It's not very good at mending trust issues, as I'm sure you can understand.
